Double Celebrations as Square Cactus Clients achieve national acclaim

Congratulations to our Ribble Valley clients, Field Nurse who have reached the finals in the national Rural Business Awards in the category Social Business/Charity of the Year.

Square Cactus is delighted to support this fledgling charity that raises funds to support a rural drop in service with nurses at Clitheroe and Gisburn auction market.  In just 12 months the charity has gone from strength to strength, appearing on BBC Radio 4’s Farming Today, in Farmers’ Guardian and BBC North West Tonight.  The project is now the focus of an Inside Out documentary feature as the BBC’s Health Correspondent, Gill Dummigan follows the team in a horse trailer converted into a mobile clinic. The awards take place on 5 October at Denbies Wine Estate, Dorking, Surrey.

The news comes as the ticker tape is still settling on the Blackburn BID’s summer celebrations in the Great British High Street Awards when the Square Cactus team supported a large scale event to mark the unveiling of a commemorative plaque by Northern Power House Minister, Jake Berry  … coincidentally right outside our offices on King William Street!

The Square Cactus Team is proud to have been working with the BID as clients  since 2012 when we masterminded the PR and social media campaign to secure a yes vote from businesses across the town centre.  Since then we have continued to provide a comprehensive communications strategy covering pr, social media, event support, graphic design and media crisis management.
