Square Cactus celebrate Award Successes

It’s been a busy few months at the Square Cactus HQ, which began at the end of 2016, when Blackburn became Winner of Winners and Best Town Centre at the Great British High Street Awards.

The competition attracted over 500,000 votes and Blackburn scored well enough to take home the crown for the ‘Great British High Street of the Year Award’ beating 26 other finalists. The Square Cactus team were at the heart of the campaign to win the award and we were chosen to escort the judges on their tour of the town. We are very proud to have been integral to bringing this national award to Blackburn.

In February 2017, we were genuinely surprised to receive a “Be Surprised” award from the Healthy High Street Team in Blackburn. The award recognised our commitment to the town and its success. The willingness of our staff to go above and beyond for the town was one of the key reasons we won the award. Rachel Graham from Boots and Katherine Wheatley of Santander presented the award to Square Cactus at the Annual General Meeting of the Blackburn Business Improvement District (BID).

The good news continued as we have now been announced as double finalists in the Blackburn with Darwen Hive Business Awards. The awards, which are now in their third year, celebrate the best of business in the borough. Square Cactus have been shortlisted for the Corporate Commitment to Blackburn with Darwen Award and also the Creative and Digital Award.

The awards ceremony takes place at King George’s Hall in Blackburn on Wednesday 10th May 2017.

Square Cactus would like to congratulate all those that have been named as finalists, but we must admit, we have our fingers crossed too!!
