Square Cactus are pleased to announce that we have become official media partners for the 2016 Blackburn Cathedral Flower Festival.

This major event in the North West events calendar is expected to attract thousands of people from across the country. The festival is being organised by the Friends of Blackburn Cathedral and has already attracted sponsorship from Blackburn BID (Business Improvement District). High Level Maintenance Limited, Cope Engineering Limited and additional media partners of BBC Radio Lancashire, with more high profile partners to be announced over the coming weeks.

MediaPartnerSquare Cactus will be providing a full PR service for the event which takes place from the 23rd to the 26th June 2016 at the Cathedral.

The festival will celebrate the completion of the new Cathedral Quarter in Blackburn, which includes the first cloisters built in the country for over 600 years. Thousands of flowers on large scale installations will fill the magnificent space of the cathedral, with a team headed by the renowned Artistic Director, Bill Dixon.

Ian Holmes, owner of Square Cactus, said, “We are thrilled to be involved in such a high profile event at the cathedral, which is likely to attract thousands of visitors. We are working closely with the organisers of the event to help publicise it as widely as possible as we believe it will bring people from across the UK to Blackburn. Cathedrals have a tradition of staging large scale flower festivals, but this is the first time Blackburn will host an event on such an ambitious scale.”

Karen Brooke, Festival Organiser, said, “We have been working with Square Cactus for over a year already and their advice and guidance has been invaluable. The team show a level of commitment that goes far beyond what we have expected and we are already starting to reap the rewards in terms of ticket sales and new sponsors.”
